Morocco Desert Trips – Luxurys Desert Camps

ERG CHIGAGA CAMP

Erg Chegaga and its 300 meter high dunes profit from a fascinating site for a bivouac, recommended to all those who travel the desert by SUV or camelback. The Chegaga bivouacs are located 60 kilometers away from the village of M’hamid. To get there, use the trail on the right of the village exit. To not get lost on this forking trail, always keep the Bani mountain on your right. Upon arrival, you will see tents planted among the dunes. The nomads that live here are some of the last indigenous people there. Their prescience is due to there being points of water and plants nearby.

ERG LIHOUDI CAMP NEAR M’HAMID

These bivouacs are found a few kilometers past the village of Tagounite. On the trail that you will find on your right after leaving the village, you will continue to Erg Lihoudi, where tents are installed. The superb giant dune can also be climbed for those wanting to admire the sunrise and sunset.

ERG CHEBBI CAMP NEAR MERZOUGA

Eight kilometers after the village of Merzouga (taking the trail towards the Southwest) you will arrive in the bivouac of Erg Chebbi. This bivouac is located among the dunes.
Here are some propositions for travel in the Moroccan desert, sleeping in the desert in bivouacs at the foot of the dunes. Our bivouacs are conceived to welcome you at any time to spend one or several nights under tents in the silence of the Moroccan Sahara.
